Stowe Area Annual Special Events

The Stowe Antique & Classic Car Meet is a very popular car show, sponsored by the Vermont Automobile Enthusiasts, that takes place the second weekend in August each year.

The British Invasion is an annual four day celebration of the British motorcar and all manner of other things British, starting the third Thursday in September.   It is the largest all-British car show on the East coast with hundreds of cars exhibited combined with many other "British" activities.

The Vermont Mozart Festival is annual celebration of the works of not just Mozart, but Bach, Vivaldi, Gershwin and others.  It takes place partly in Stowe at Trapp Family Lodge in a great outdoor amphitheatre setting, from mid-July to early August on Sunday evenings.

The Music In The Meadow is annual series of renowned musicians performing in the Trapp Family Lodge Concert Meadow.  The series is sponsored by Stowe Performing Arts, a non-profit organization that also offers other free concerts during the summer season.

On the last weekend of September, the Stowe Oktoberfest celebrates the harvest and fall foliage and transforms the Jackson Ice Arena into a Bavarian village.   There's a huge parade, authentic German foods, freshly brewed Vermont beers, live music including Oompah Bands and of course, dancing.  Great children's activities include the famous Kasperle Puppet Theater, pumpkin and face painting and a Jumping Fun Haus.  Come eat, dance, and enjoy all the festivities that make for a great family event.
